Donald Douglas - Founder and President
ABOUT US
FET or "Friends of English Theatre" is based at the Théâtre le Colombier in the village of Les Cabannes, next to Cordes-sur-Ciel in the Tarn (81).
The Association was founded by actor and local resident Donald Douglas after he was approached by the management of the newly re-opened theatre who were seeking to broaden their audience base.
Our first production in May 2014 was a resounding success and since then we have put on six shows a year, building up a loyal and enthusiastic following amongst ex-pats and other English-speaking locals.
We aim to give our audiences a theatrical experience of the highest calibre, both solo performances and ensemble productions, often fresh from award-winning runs at the Edinburgh Festival and beyond, whilst maintaining ticket prices at a reasonable level.
The Association is run by a committee comprising the following members:
Honorary President Sir Derek Jacobi
President & Artistic Director Donald Douglas
Vice President Joanna Boegner
Treasurer Jane Wallace
Secretary Ruth Etridge
Artist Liaison Lucie Maguire
Hospitality Judy Kent
